FONTLOG FOR THE FONT AMRO26 FINGERPRINT This file provides detailed information on the font AMRO26 Fingerprint. This information should be distributed along with the AMRO26 Fingerprint font and any derivative works. ----------------------------------------------------------- Basic Font Information ----------------------------------------------------------- AMRO26 Fingerprint is a hand-drawn proportional typeface created for AMRO26 – Art Meets Radical Openness, a biennial festival dedicated to art, hacktivism and open Culture in Linz (Austria. https://radical-openness.org). Each glyph is drawn on the screen of a smartphone with my fingertip. As an imprecise tool, the finger imposes deliberate limitations on typographic and calligraphic perfection, shaped by the constraints of touch and the reduced surface of the screen – aligning with the festival theme “Becoming Unreadable”. AMRO26 Fingerprint is a Unicode font that uses the OpenType ‘calt’ (Contextual Alternates) feature, which causes the form of the glyphs to change depending on the preceding character. The feature code is included in the release of the font. ----------------------------------------------------------- ChangeLog ----------------------------------------------------------- 1 Apr 2026 (Pira Tin – Hanna Priemetzhofer) AMRO26-Fingerprint Version 1.0 - Initial release – Basic Latin and Latin-1 Supplement, General Punctuation, Currency Symbols – Contextual Alternates (calt) – Proportional spacing ----------------------------------------------------------- Acknowledgements ----------------------------------------------------------- If you make modifications be sure to add your name (N), email (E), web-address (if you have one) (W) and description (D).
